Excellent Practice

Many thanks to Excellent Systems. We upgraded to this system and have found the package to be user friendly and flexible. Generating ACC47s electronically has solved a major headache at the front end and stabilized our cash flow. Having a Practice running several practitioners with two receptionists has become very simple to manage. The service and training from Excellent Systems has made the transition over from our previous system go very smoothly. We are happy and would recommend anyone to look further into this system as we have found Excellent Practice to work very well.

Excellent Systems has been an important vendor for us at Monad Pacific Management for quite a number of years and over this time has helped us develop a database system that manages over 12,000 owner records for the unit titled and timeshare properties that we manage. The system allows us to manage all of the billing and receipting of owner levy’s, processing owner bookings and the management of accommodation inventories for a number of properties around New Zealand. The management of unit titled properties can be a complex matter and the database that Dave has helped us develop is the technological difference that enables our business.

Our Magic Print program controls the printing of Packing Slips and Despatch Notes to some 16 printers around the country. It also faxes out documents daily to customers relating to Order Acknowledgements, Date Change Notifications, Goods Return Authorities and Return Material Authorities.

All of these documents are high quality and include bar-coding for greater efficiencies. Additional uses of our Magic program include:

acting as the interface between our Accounting Package and specialised software using FoxPro, transferring information between these applications;
translating Unix ASCII files into DOS format, and vice-versa, and also converting long file names as required;
automatically creating request and response files related to electronic interchange with our Couriers.

The system works in the background and is very reliable, as it has to be, and any changes or support are supplied promptly and efficiently.

Printing and emailing : enhancing your DOS Package

The Magic print program is extremely useful. Firstly, it allows us to transform our CBA system's very limited print output to fully customised A4 printing with logos and fonts. Secondly, it has made it possible to have different invoice presentation for different brands while still running from the same accounting system. It has proved a reliable and easy way to customise our paper output and I recommended it.

Excellent Systems provided a programme so that we can run our statements from CBA and e-mail out instead of using 3 part statement stationery. The ones we have no e-mail address for print out on plain paper on our printer.

The statements look professional and the printing is a breeze in comparison.

TimeKeeping on the Internet

We use Excellent Systems' Timesheet Entry system hrough the Internet. By doing this we avoid having any local installation, and if we wished could access it from anywhere at any time to enter time and expenses against jobs. It replaces time-consuming and unreliable Spreadsheets, and gives us the reports we want as PDF's, to be saved and printed as required. The system is reliable and the support is friendly and prompt.
